Experienced, Double Board-Certified Medical Director
PAMC Medical Director Dr. Ahn is a double board-certified surgeon (American Board of Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery and American Board of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery) who served as a full-time faculty member at Columbia University Medical Center for 20 years. Dr. Ahn received his medical degree from Columbia University, College of Physicians & Surgeons in 1987 and also did his residency training in Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery at Columbia University Medical Center.
He completed his fellowship training in Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery at New York University Medical Center before returning to Columbia University as a faculty member. He was the first surgeon in United States to perform eyelash transplants.
Consultations with Dr. Ahn may be scheduled at any of his offices. Consultation fees are available upon request; in most cases, the fee will be credited towards scheduled treatments or procedures.
The Park Avenue and Fort Lee locations are fully equipped with in-office surgical facilities. These facilities are AAAHC accredited and board-certified anesthesiologists are available. For patients from abroad or out of state, our office will happily arrange post-operative accommodations close by, and at reasonable rates; please consult a clinician for details.
Dr. Ahn consults thoughtfully with every patient to determine the most appropriate treatment or surgery, basing the choice on his own assessment as well as the patient’s individual needs and preferences.
Because Dr. Ahn is double board certified in plastic surgery and in ENT (ear, nose, and throat) surgery, he focuses on both the functional and aesthetic needs of each patient. He regularly performs revision surgeries on patients who have had plastic surgery in the past which compromised funcion in the area.
